DTPMPA Oilfield Barium Strontium Scale Inhibitor
DTPMPA, Diethylene Triamine Penta (Methylene Phosphonic Acid), is a special high-efficiency chelating scale inhibitor developed aiming at the severe barium and strontium scaling problem of high-mineralization formation water in oil and gas exploitation. Its long-chain pentaphosphonic acid molecular structure has far stronger metal ion chelating capacity than conventional phosphonates such as ATMP and HEDP, and can efficiently capture barium ions and strontium ions with extremely low solubility in oilfield water. It can stabilize the microcrystals of barium sulfate and strontium sulfate suspended in water, prevent these hard scales from adhering to downhole oil pipes, ground conveying pipelines and wellbore equipment, and avoid wellbore blockage, pipeline shrinkage and oil production reduction caused by scaling. DTPMPA has excellent hydrolysis stability; it can maintain long-term slow-release scale inhibition effect under the high temperature and high chloride ion environment underground, and also has obvious auxiliary anti-corrosion performance to protect steel oil pipes from electrochemical corrosion under high salt conditions. We provide two mainstream salt products: disodium DTPMP and heptasodium DTPMP, which can be selected according to different mineralization degrees of oilfield produced water and injection water. A large number of oilfield field application data prove that after continuous dosing of DTPMPA, the well cleaning cycle can be extended from 3 months to 18 months, greatly reducing the production loss and construction cost caused by shutdown descaling operations, and effectively improving the crude oil recovery rate. Besides oil and gas industry, DTPMPA is also suitable for large steel plant circulating water and geothermal heating pipeline scale inhibition systems with barium and strontium ion hidden dangers.
